We’re delighted to announce that GTEC has been shortlisted for two categories in the 2021 H&V News Awards – Small Company Achievement of the Year and Training Initiative of the Year.
Despite the challenges of Covid, we have had a fantastic 2020/2021, launching the Renewable Heat Installer Training & Support Scheme (RHITTS), which offered up to 70% off the cost of heat pump, solar thermal or biomass training and certification, playing host to MP for Richmond and Yorkshire, Rishi Sunak and developing industry leading qualifications in heat pumps and Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS), working with LCL Awards and MCS.
GTEC’s MD, Griff Thomas has also advised government and trade bodies in the UK and abroad on the roll out of low carbon technologies.
Overall, we feel we’ve had a big impact on the renewables industry for such a small company. GTEC has an exceptional commitment and passion for renewables training and Griff has become the ‘go-to’ voice of the industry, advising governments, certification bodies and industry committees on the development and delivery of large-scale renewable training programmes.
A special advisor to MCS, Griff sits on various industry committees, including Decarbonising Housing Group for Richmondshire (chair), BSI Electrical Installations of Buildings Joint Committee (JPEL/64) and local authority net zero working group (chair).
GTEC strive to provide qualifications and training of the highest quality, delivered by experienced tutors in specialist fields, ensuring candidates leave the centre ready to positively contribute to a low-carbon future.
The winners will be announced on the 11th November at Hilton Park Lane, London. Fingers crossed we bag an award (or two!)
