Meet the GTEC team and chat all things renewables!
GTEC’s stand is in the Heating & Plumbing Training Zone – come and have a chat to us and we’ll be more than happy to answer all your questions!
We love talking about all things renewable, from opportunities for installers and low-carbon technologies, to the pathway to Net Zero 2050 – and of course heat pump and renewables training!
As the UK’s leading provider of renewables training, our experts can provide an in-depth viewpoint on the changes happening in the heating sector and advise installers on how to cash-in on market growth and future-proof their careers.
Attend seminars delivered by renewables expert, Griff Thomas
Griff is also giving two seminars, which are accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and will be delivered on both Thursday 30th and Friday 31st. To receive the CPD certificate, attendees need to scan a QR Code, which will be available at the sessions.
The session timetable is as follows:
11.00 – 11.30 – Heat pump headaches and how to solve them
Griff will be discussing the opportunities and challenges of the heat pump sector, including advice on heat losses and other specification challenges.
Overcoming these will be key to the success of the transition to net zero, in particular, accurate room-by-room heat loss calculations play a central role in the heat pump specification process, compared to systematic oversizing which is common with gas central heating.
Fixing problems wastes precious time and money – we must get heat pump systems right first time.
13.00 – 13.30 – The heat is on
This talk will focus on how technology will help the installer in 2023, covering software and app-based solutions that can help to simplify the process of heat pump specification, installation and commissioning to ensure our new heat pump systems are fit for the future.
With all the important information at their fingertips, heat pump engineers can reduce time spent on paperwork and preliminary preparations, supporting uptake and building consumer confidence in this critical technology.
