Funded Renewable Energy Training in North & North East Lincolnshire
GTEC Training is proud to be an approved delivery partner under the Regional Skills Pilot for North and North East Lincolnshire, funded through the Midlands Net Zero Hub and supported by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
This initiative has been created to help local engineers, businesses, and residents gain the skills required to support the UK’s transition to clean energy — with funded access to industry-recognised qualifications in renewable heat and low-carbon technologies.
What This Means for You
Through this Regional Skills Pilot, eligible learners in North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire may be able to access fully or partially funded training with GTEC Training.
This support is designed to:
- Help engineers upskill into renewables
- Support workers transitioning from carbon-intensive sectors
- Address regional clean energy skills gaps
- Strengthen the local low-carbon workforce
Funding may also include additional support to remove barriers to training, depending on eligibility.
Funded Courses Available with GTEC
As a specialist provider in renewable and low-carbon technologies, GTEC delivers practical, hands-on training aligned with employer demand and industry standards.
Eligible courses may include:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Award in The Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671:2018)
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Locations
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Ground Source Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits)
- LCL Awards Water Regulations
- LCL Awards Hot Water Systems & Safety (inc. Unvented Hot Water)
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Solar Thermal Hot Water Systems
