Why should you vote for GTEC and City Plumbing?
Our work with City Plumbing on the Energy Efficiency Centre demonstrates how collaboration can be a force for good as the building services engineering sector faces the challenges of the future.
By delivering leading industry training and improving access to low carbon technologies, we are shaping the future of the industry and contributing directly to the UK’s net zero goals.
We are taking an active role in the net zero challenge: The Energy Efficiency Centre increased the number of MCS accredited installers by 15% in the first year of trading
We are breaking down barriers for installers: Installers can access discounted training, reducing the cost of upskilling and avoiding the ‘double hit’ to their revenue by taking time off work.
We are challenging misconceptions about heat pumps: Our centre showcases the very latest in domestic renewables, helping homeowners and installers to visualise how new technologies will look and work in their home.
We are leading the industry: Our training courses are designed by industry experts and accredited by LCL Awards to ensure installers and heating engineers receive the highest quality training to future proof their skill set and deliver energy efficient solutions to their customers.
What is the Energy Efficiency Centre?
The Energy Efficiency Centre, based in Farnborough, is a one-stop-shop of support for installers entering the renewables sector for the first time. It combines industry leading training with impartial advice on technologies and manufacturers designed to support heating engineers with the transition to renewables.
Installers can access a fully equipped GTEC training centre that delivers LCL Awards accredited installer training across a range of renewable technologies, from air source heat pumps (ASHP) and ground source heat pumps (GSHP) to solar PV and EV charging.
Visitors to the centre, including members of the public, can view the latest low carbon technologies in action, including heat pumps, solar PV and underfloor heating.
