Who is it for & why is it important to me?
There are two versions of the course available – for plumbers and operators that carry out work on the water supply system and for supervisors and managers who are responsible for management of water systems in properties under their control.
All delegates undertaking the operator’s course must hold an NVQ or equivalent in plumbing (or equivalent experience normally a minimum of 2 years) and a valid certificate in WRAS Water Regulations.
Learners undertaking the supervisors and managers course do not require any formal qualification however they should have a good understanding of water systems and current best practice legislation.
Completion of this course will increase your credibility and give you the competitive edge, as well as showing your customers that you are trained to the highest of standards.
How long is the course and what is included?
This course is 1 day in total. The cost of the course includes training, assessment, the certification fee and course material as well as lunch and refreshments throughout the day. 0% financing is available for this course (terms and conditions will apply).

Additionally, the plumber and operator version will cover practical information regarding disinfecting and cleaning a domestic sized water system using various methods such as chlorine, bleach and silver hydrogen peroxide.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is not designed to cover large commercial water systems, water towers or cooling systems in any depth.
How will I learn and be assessed?
The course is a split into Training and Assessment elements – All learners must successfully complete a written multiple-choice assessment based on ACoP L8 and other relevant documents. Plumbers and operators must in addition complete a practical assessment involving cleaning and disinfection a domestic sized water system.
What do I need to bring to the course?
You will need to bring a form of ID (Passport or Driver’s Licence), and a passport style photo if not known to LOGIC Certification.
Any course material required will be provided by GTEC.

You will receive your certificate of attendance approximately 4 to 6 weeks following successful completion of the course.
